Why firms call us

You don't have a work problem.
You have a capacity problem.

Every firm we speak to describes some version of the same three months. If any of this sounds like your practice, the maths on this page will matter to you.

You are turning away good work

Clients are asking, the fees are there, and you are saying no because there is nobody to do the file. Growth is capped by headcount, not by demand.

Busy season costs you your people

Seventy-hour weeks from January to April, then the resignations arrive in May. Recruiting a replacement costs more than the salary you saved.

Partners are doing staff work

Your most expensive hour is being spent on bank reconciliations and data entry, because that is the only way the file gets finished on time.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the model that fits who you are

The engagement is genuinely different depending on whether you are a practice buying capacity, or a business buying an outcome.

For accounting & CPA firms

Buy capacity, keep the client

You need review-ready output, not advice. We work inside your systems, under your firm's brand, and we never speak to your client.

  • Dedicated offshore staff — part-time or full-time
  • Per-return tax preparation, priced by form
  • Busy-season surge capacity with no annual commitment
  • Fully white-label — your workpapers, your templates
  • §7216, TPB, GDPR and PIPEDA paperwork provided in week one
See firm pricing →
For businesses & startups

Hand over the books entirely

You want one fixed monthly number, clean books, and financials that arrive on time without you chasing anyone.

  • Monthly bookkeeping and bank reconciliation
  • Accounts payable and receivable management
  • Payroll processing and statutory filings
  • Management accounts by the 12th business day
  • Catch-up and clean-up of neglected books

What we do

The whole finance function — or just the part that hurts

Start with one process. Add more when we have earned it. Nothing here requires you to move your entire back office on day one.

A caveat we would rather you hear from us

Published savings claims in this industry run as high as 80%. That number ignores the real cost of managing an offshore team — your review time, first-quarter rework, and onboarding. A realistic net saving for a small firm in year one is 55–65%, improving after the first two quarters as the team learns your workpapers. We would rather quote you a number you actually hit than one that wins the pitch and loses the renewal.

Security & regulation

The part most providers skip

Ask any offshore provider for their §7216 consent template or their TPB disclosure wording. Most will send you a security PDF. We hand you the actual documents in week one — regulatory paperwork is the business we are already in.

🇺🇸 United States — IRC §7216

Written client consent, in a prescribed format, is required before tax return information is disclosed to a preparer outside the US. AICPA rules and most state boards keep your firm responsible for the work.

→ We provide a §7216-compliant consent template, a written outsourcing agreement, and SSN masking where your software supports it.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom — UK GDPR

Transferring personal data outside the UK requires an approved safeguard. ICAEW and ACCA practice guidance expects client notification in your engagement letter.

→ We provide an International Data Transfer Agreement, a data processing agreement, a record of processing activities, and engagement-letter wording.

🇦🇺 Australia — TPB Code

The Code of Professional Conduct requires you to notify clients where tax agent services are performed by an offshore provider, and to maintain adequate supervision.

→ We provide TPB-aligned client disclosure wording, a supervision and quality-review protocol, and Australian Privacy Principle 8 documentation.

🇨🇦 Canada — PIPEDA

CPA provincial bodies require confidentiality safeguards and client awareness where work is performed outside Canada. PIPEDA governs the personal information transfer.

→ We provide PIPEDA-aligned transfer documentation, a confidentiality undertaking, and engagement-letter wording.

This is a summary for planning purposes, not legal advice. Confirm your specific obligations with your professional body or counsel before engaging any offshore provider.

Technical and physical controls

  • Access by VPN or your own hosted environment — client files are not copied locally
  • No removable media, no personal email, no printing in the delivery area
  • Individual named logins, multi-factor authentication, full audit logging
  • Background-verified staff with confidentiality undertakings that survive termination
  • ISO 27001 aligned controls, annual penetration testing, cyber liability insurance

What we deliberately do <em>not</em> do

  • Lodge or e-file in your name. Regulated in all four markets — your licensed agent signs and files.
  • Issue audit opinions. We prepare workpapers and PBC schedules; your firm forms the opinion.
  • Contact your end client. White-label means white-label.
  • Hold payment authority. Read-only or approval-workflow access only.
Onboarding

Live in 21 days

Busy-season surge engagements can go live in 7 days if the paperwork is prioritised.

1

Scoping call — day 0

Thirty minutes. We map the work, the volume, the software and the review points. You get a written scope and a fixed price the same week.

2

Paperwork — days 1–3

Master services agreement, NDA with IP assignment, data processing agreement, and the jurisdiction-specific client disclosure templates.

3

Team allocation — days 3–7

We shortlist two candidates against your requirement. You interview them. You choose. Nobody is assigned to your account without your say-so.

4

Pilot batch — weeks 2–3

A small, real batch — five returns or one month of books — delivered to your review standard. You mark it up. We fix the workpaper template.

5

Steady state — week 4 onward

Agreed SLAs, weekly status reporting, monthly service review. First-quarter rework is expected and is not billed as extra hours.

Why ComplyV

Not a labour broker. A practising firm.

⚖️

Supervised by professionals

ComplyV is run by qualified Company Secretaries and Chartered Accountants who file statutory returns every working day. Our people are supervised by professionals who have personally signed off compliance work — not by an account manager with a headcount target.

🔍

We publish our prices

Entigrity, TOA Global, Cogneesol and Analytix publish nothing. QX publishes one number. Everything we charge is on this page — so you can build your budget before you speak to us, and hold us to it afterwards.

🎓

Qualified, not just trained

India produces qualified CAs, not only trained bookkeepers. That matters when the work is a consolidated 1120 or a complex CT600 rather than transaction coding — and it is why our senior tiers handle more technical work than a comparable Philippines-based team.

🛡️

Compliance is the product

Most providers answer the security question with a PDF. We answer it with your §7216 consent template, your IDTA, and your TPB disclosure wording — because regulatory paperwork is what we already do all day.

Questions

The things firms actually ask us

Against a fully loaded US in-house cost of $115,000–$145,000 a year for a staff accountant, a full-time ComplyV accountant at $2,600 a month ($31,200 a year) is roughly a 73% reduction in direct cost. Once you allow for the review and coordination time your own team spends, a realistic net saving in year one is 55–65%, rising after the first two quarters. UK savings run slightly lower at 45–55%, Australian savings slightly higher at 60–70%, because local loaded costs differ.

Yes, in all four jurisdictions we serve — with disclosure. In the United States, IRC §7216 requires written client consent in a prescribed format before tax return information is disclosed to a preparer outside the US, and AICPA rules keep your firm responsible for the work. Australia’s TPB Code requires you to notify clients that an offshore provider is used. The UK requires a lawful GDPR transfer mechanism, and Canada requires PIPEDA-compliant safeguards. We supply the templates for all four. Confirm the detail with your professional body — this is a summary, not legal advice.

If your monthly volume is below about 60 hours, hourly is cheapest. Between 60 and 140 hours a month, a part-time FTE at 80 hours usually wins on effective rate. Above 140 hours, a full-time FTE at $1,600–$3,600 a month is materially cheaper per hour than anything else. For seasonal tax work with no year-round base, per-return pricing avoids paying for idle capacity entirely. Send us your volume and we will model all four and show you the workings.

Almost certainly. We work daily in QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Sage 50, MYOB and FreeAgent; and in Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSeries, CCH Axcess, SurePrep, IRIS, TaxCalc, CaseWare, TaxCycle, Profile and Taxprep. QuickBooks Desktop needs a hosted environment or VPN access from your side. If you use something not on this list, tell us — the learning curve for a qualified accountant is days, not months.

Our standard delivery window is 9:00–18:00 IST, with shifted teams available. We commit to a minimum four-hour live overlap with your business day — roughly 06:30–10:30 US Eastern, 07:00–11:00 UK, or a full overlap with Australian eastern hours. Dedicated full-time staff can be assigned to a shifted roster at no premium.

You tell us within the first 90 days and we replace them at no charge, including the handover time. You also interview candidates before allocation, so a poor fit is rare. For hourly and per-return work there is no commitment at all — you simply stop sending work.

Work is performed inside your environment wherever possible — your VPN, your hosted desktop, your portal — so client files do not leave your control. The delivery floor has no removable media, no personal email and no printing. Every person has an individual login with multi-factor authentication and full audit logging, is background-verified, and has signed a confidentiality undertaking that survives termination. Controls are aligned to ISO 27001 and we carry cyber liability insurance.

No, and no compliant provider should offer to. Lodgement and e-filing are regulated activities requiring local registration — a US PTIN-holding preparer, a UK agent, an Australian registered tax or BAS agent, or a Canadian efiler. We prepare to review-ready standard; your licensed agent reviews, signs and files. That division is exactly what keeps your registration safe.

Hourly: 40 hours a month. Dedicated staff: one month’s notice either way, no annual lock-in. Per return: no minimum — send one return if you want to test us. Monthly business packages: month to month, cancel with 30 days’ notice. We do not use annual contracts to hold clients who want to leave.

Yes. For firms, we run a paid pilot batch — five returns or one month of one client’s books — at standard rates, so you can mark up real output before signing anything larger. For businesses, we will prepare one prior month of bookkeeping and give you the financial statements before you pay anything, so you can see the quality of the close for yourself.

Bring last quarter's job list. We'll do the maths.

Send us your job list or your monthly transaction count. Within two business days you get a written scope, a fixed price under each of the four models, and a side-by-side against what the same work costs you today.

If offshore is the wrong answer for your firm, we will tell you that too. We would rather lose the engagement than lose it badly six months in.
